We Accept
At The Kairos Review, we welcome submissions that explore emotion, narrative, and visual storytelling across both creative and written media. We are interested in work that feels intentional, expressive, and thoughtfully composed.
Creative Media
Art
Digital · Traditional · Mixed Media
We accept illustrations, paintings, sketches, collages, and experimental visual work in any medium. Pieces may be conceptual, narrative, abstract, or symbolic.
Photography
Photography that tells a story — whether intimate, documentary, editorial, or surreal. We value strong composition, mood, and a clear sense of perspective.
Comic Spreads
Sequential art and illustrated storytelling. Submissions may be standalone spreads or short narrative excerpts, as long as they function cohesively on the page.
Crafts
Handmade and tactile art forms such as paper craft, textile work, sculpture, book art, or other physical creations, documented clearly through images.
Written Media
Poetry
All forms accepted — free verse, structured poetry, experimental formats, and visual poetry. We look for originality of voice and emotional depth.
Prose
Short-form literary prose, reflections, or character-driven pieces that focus on language and atmosphere.
Short Stories
Fictional narratives with a strong sense of plot, character, or theme. Genre is open.
Articles
Thoughtful articles exploring literature, art, culture, identity, or personal insight. We value clarity, originality, and a distinct point of view.
Fiction
Flash fiction, speculative pieces, or excerpts that stand well on their own.
Essays & Diary Entries
Personal essays, reflective writing, and diary-style entries that are honest, introspective, and well-crafted.
